Taunton Diagnostic Centre
Alliance Medical began running Taunton Diagnostic Centre in November 2022, in partnership with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. We provide fast access to high-quality MRI, CT, Ultrasound and X-Ray diagnostics for NHS, private medical insurance, and self-pay patients. Reports are delivered to referrers in 24-48 hours.
Taunton is home to a 3T Elition MRI scanner which offers superior image quality for brain, vascular and orthopaedic diagnostics and is one of the only 3T MRI scanners in the Southwest. This is the gold standard technology for many musculoskeletal and cancer scans providing better accuracy for earlier diagnosis and shorter scan times. Patients also have access to a 1.5 T MRI, Phillips CT Scanner, Ultrasound and X-ray.
