We're the National PET-CT contract holder
Over the past decade, Alliance Medical has been a pivotal player in supporting the NHS to expand its PET-CT network. We deliver NHS PET-CT services to 60% of England, lead the Molecular Imaging Collaborative Network and manufacture and distribute PET radiopharmaceuticals at 5 UK sites.
We're advancing PET-CT: achieving earlier detection and better treatment options
As a leader in molecular imaging, we have improved accessibility and cancer pathways by introducing new digital PET-CT scanners across the country. This innovative technology has superior image quality and exposes patients to lower radiation. It also allows cancer to be detected at the very earliest stages, vastly improving treatment options and outcomes. This has been crucial in providing life-saving diagnostic imaging to hundreds of thousands of patients across England and reducing the cost burden on the healthcare system.
We're thinking about the future - Beyond Oncology
As the National PET-CT contract holder for NHS England, we are at the forefront. PET-CT is revolutionising the diagnosis and treatment of a range of indications beyond oncology, from brain and cardiac conditions, to autoimmune inflammatory diseases and paediatric care. Our commitment extends to supporting ground-breaking research into Alzheimer's and other neurological diseases. We are continually investing in our scanning facilities and our five radiopharmaceutical units to ensure the production and distribution of PET radiopharmaceuticals across our network and beyond.
We have award-winning Community Diagnostic Centres
Alliance Medical created the UK's first Community Diagnostic Centre, have delivered 9 innovative multimodality CDCs since, and are a trusted partner to over 100 NHS Trusts.
Our flexible solutions provide NHS Trusts with state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities in the heart of the community, creating new patient pathways and improving access to MRI, CT and vitally PET-CT scanning. Find out more about our CDCs
Research and Radiopharmacy
Alliance Medical is actively engaged in innovative research, including dementia trials and cancer studies.
With our ability to supply high quality isotopes, we make an important contribution to outcomes in research studies. In addition, we work with a number of affiliated organisations to bring new tracers to the market and improve patient pathways and outcomes.
