Welcome to Southend PET-CT Centre. Based at Southend Hospital in Essex, we provide fast access to high-quality PET-CT diagnostics for NHS, Private Medical Insurance and Private Self-Pay patients. Reports are delivered to referrers in 48-72 hours.
As a specialist PET-CT centre, we provide diagnostic scanning using our innovative SIEMENS Biograph mCT64 PET-CT. We conduct F-18 FDG PET-CT scans for oncology, infection, dementia and PETREA study as well as F-18 PSMA scans for the prostate.

Our PET-CT Centre is currently being refurbished to improve future services. During this time, all scans will take place in our mobile PET-CT units, located in the hospital carparks.
Please check your appointment confirmation for which mobile unit you are attending.
Car parks A, D, E and F are available for patients to use. Patients and visitors must pay for parking at the pay station before they leave.
For those travelling by rail or bus; rail companies C2C and Greater Anglia operate frequent trains to Southend Central station, where buses are available direct to Southend Hospital.
