Alliance Medical joins Business Against Cancer roundtable hosted by Macmillan Cancer Support
April 28, 2026

Macmillan Cancer Support’s Business Against Cancer roundtable was a big day for moving towards a future where people living with cancer are supported to work in ways that suit their health, circumstances and ambitions, if and when they want to, and feel genuinely supported in doing so.
Our Medical Director, Neil Fisher, joined Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Wes Streeting, and other leaders from business, charity and government to discuss how organisations can better support people living with cancer at work.
Neil discussed how employers can play a more prominent and active role in supporting employees affected by cancer, and how collaboration between businesses, charities and government can help people remain in and thrive at work.
Neil said:
“As the number of people living with cancer in the UK continues to grow, this was an important opportunity to contribute to a constructive, partnership‑focused discussion and share Alliance Medical’s perspectives on improving experiences for people living with cancer. A hugely important takeaway has been how cross‑sector partnerships can help translate our ambitions into meaningful, day‑to‑day support for those that need it most”.
Alliance Medical would like to thank Macmillan Cancer Support for gathering this group together and for the opportunity to be part of such important conversations.
