Alliance Medical Exhibit at BNMS - 27 and 28th April ...

Monday, April 27, 2015

The 43rd Annual Spring Meeting of British Nuclear Medicine Society (BNMS) took place between 26th and 29th April 2015 at the Brighton Centre and was attended by Alliance Medical staff involved in PET/CT imaging and molecular imaging and radiopharmaceuticals, who are now part of the newly formed Molecular Imaging (MI) Division.

Staff from Alliance Medical, joined by colleagues from Piramal, were on hand to speak on the delivery of the National PET/CT Contract and the manufacturing of NeuraCeq, the Amyloid imaging tracer manufactured from our Guildford RPU. Staff spoke to delegates from a broad range of backgrounds and locations, such as NHS service managers, radiographers, technologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists.

BNMS had a varied and interesting programme of talks this year, including Howard Marsh outlining Alliance’s response to managing the impending Molybdenum shortage, considerations for Amyloid scanning, imaging to support investigations in bones and alzheimer’s, as well as sessions on nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, physics, instrumentation and radionuclide therapies, to name a few. There were various other exhibitors, including diagnostic imaging service providers, scanner and equipment suppliers, radiopharmaceutical manufacturers, training providers and various information technology specialists.

Thank you to Mike Ward, Holly Ainger, Howard Marsh, Julie Armstrong, Shaun Creasey, David Wark, Sharon Edwards, Leisl Anderson, Mary McKee, Philip Webster and Derek Samuel for making the event such a success
