Information for clinicians

Alliance Medical is working on behalf of the NHS to provide local access to the NHS PET/CT Diagnostic Imaging Service, helping to reduce patient travel times and improve their experience.

This new NHS PET/CT service offers comprehensive referral, booking, scanning and reporting provision, thus meeting the needs of clinicians with a wide range of specialities, and patients, both adult and paediatric.

As this is increasing the number of scans available to NHS patients, we can ensure that scans are completed quicker, allowing you to make more informed decisions about patient management faster than ever before.

How to refer a patient

Using our central bookings team, patients can be directed to their nearest NHS PET/CT Diagnostic Imaging Service without delay. We will arrange their appointment at the scanning centre, organise all administration, and ensure your patient receives all the information they need to prepare for their scan.

Download a copy of the patient request form - for your convenience, the form has been provided as both a Word and .PDF document and both can be completed electronically. Please call our team directly on 0845 045 0103 for further information.

When your patient’s scan is booked, they will be sent:

  • A confirmation letter
  • A patient guide which will include full details about their scan and the best way to prepare
  • A map of the location
  • A questionnaire where relevant

Patient care

We aim to give the best possible care to your patients, and we can assure you that your patient’s privacy and dignity will remain a priority at all times. We provide all patients with feedback opportunities either through a Patient Satisfaction Survey or via the patient’s area on our website.

Satisfaction

If you have any comments, would like further information or are not satisfied with the service provided, please contact our Patient Management Centre on 0845 045 0103 between 9am and 5pm. Alternatively, you can download our Clinician Satisfaction Survey to provide feedback.

If you wish to put your comments in writing, please write to Alliance Medical Limited, Iceni Centre, Warwick Technology Park, Warwick CV34 6DA and your letter will be acknowledged within 2 working days. All complaints will be fully investigated, and a written response provided within 20 working days.
