What is the NHS PET/CT service?

• Alliance Medical is working with the NHS to provide you with local access to PET/CT
• The service is currently operating at:
  
  
  • Freeman Hospital, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne
  • The James Cook University Hospital, Middlesborough
  • Seacroft Hospital, Leeds
  • Hull Royal Infirmary, Hull
  • Northern General Hospital, Sheffield
  • Royal Preston Hospital, Preston
  • Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool
  • Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology, Wirral
  • University Hospital of North Staffordshire, Stoke
  • Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham

What does this mean to me?

• This service allows consultants to make positive differences to your care management by providing unique and complimentary diagnostic information
• This means you'll have increased confidence in their diagnosis and treatment, knowing that your consultant has access to state-of-the-art technology and equipment
• And, a local service reduces the need for you to travel long distances

How does it work?

• When your consultant requests a PET/CT scan, our dedicated bookings team will organise your appointment and ensure you receive all the information needed to prepare for your scan
• On the day of your scan, our professional and friendly staff will make you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout your scanning experience

• Please tell us about it by calling our dedicated Patient Management Centre on 0845 045 0103 - we're open weekdays, 8.00am to 8.00pm and weekends, 8.00am to 4.00pm
