NHS Direct Online is a website providing high quality health information and advice. It is unique in being supported by a 24 hour nurse advice and information helpline that can give advise on what to do if you or your family are feeling ill, particular health conditions, local healthcare services such as doctors, dentists or late night opening pharmacies and self help and support organisations. This website has a wide range of information including over 500 leaflets on health and disease, details of more than 2000 self-help and patient support groups and a directory of UK websites on disease, health, carers issues, helplines, medicines and NHS information.
