Centre News July 2004

Thousands of patients have now been imaged at our centre and we continue to provide a fast and easy access service to all our referrers.

Marianne Goldthorpe, the new Head of Alliance Medical Imaging Centre London was announced in February 2004. Since then she has been getting used to life at our state-of-the-art centre and putting new systems in place to increase workflow efficiency and customer care.

These include:

* Additional front office staff for booking appointments – we are providing a dedicated "appointments line" from August 2004
* Development of additional consulting rooms for use by referrers. This would enable a "one-stop-shop” service for patients who could have consultation and diagnostic imaging tests in one place at one time
* Upgrading our tele-radiology facility to enable faster reporting turnaround
* Possible additional modalities such as Bone Densitometry
* Extended working hours on certain weekdays and the possibility of weekends
