Andrew Smith
Managing Director
- Prior to joining us in 2007, Andrew was CEO of the Integrated Transport Division of Serco Group plc, running railway franchises and road technology businesses in both the UK and overseas, with a staff of 8,600
- His earlier career included 12 years in management with P&O Containers, including 4 years in the Middle East
- From a sea-faring family, Glasgow-born Andrew's working life started out as a cadet officer in the Merchant Navy before gaining a First degree in Naval Architecture and a Masters in Transport Planning at Southampton University
Chris Cook
IT Director
- Joined us in January 2009 from the Nuffield Health Group, where he was Group IT Director
- Prior to that, held IT director positions in the hotel and automotive sectors
- Also spent 9 years during the 1990’s in IT leadership roles at British Airways
- Chris has previously served as a non-executive director at Healthcode, the online medical billing service provider
- In addition, he's also spoken at a number of conferences on IT in the healthcare sector in the UK, Europe and the Middle East
Dr. Andrew Dun
Deputy Managing Director and Commercial Director
- Joined us in 2002
- Previously Group Medical Director for Healthcall Ltd. with key responsibility for clinical quality in the provision of Out of Hours services to GPs, domiciliary eye tests, police surgeon services and, on behalf of the DTI, the provision of clinicians for the largest medical claims settlement in Europe
- For ten years, Andrew was a principal in General Practice in Wiltshire which included being a Board Member of the local Primary Care Organisation, GP advisor for the National Service Framework for Stroke disease and GP representative on the Regional Waiting Times Task Force
- He also worked for the local Health Authority on a number of initiatives including Demand Management and Integrated Care
Keith Rowling
Chief Operating Officer
- Joined us in 2009 from NCR Ltd. where he led the Worldwide Customer Services business in the UK and Ireland
- With 600 employees and a $150 million turnover, he was credited with returning the business to profitability through widespread improvements in customer service and satisfaction
- Qualifying as an accountant in 1988, Keith spent 15 years as a KPMG management consultant, becoming a partner in 1999 and leader of the Technology Services practice where he specialised in large scale technology implementation and business change
Jean-Luc Janet
Finance Director
- Joined us in 2008 following our acquisition of the independent radiology services provider Lodestone Patient Care
- As Finance Director at Lodestone, Jean-Luc provided key financial leadership to ensure the sustainable and profitable growth of the company
- Prior to this, he was employed by KPMG Corporate Finance, involved in a variety of engagements in the healthcare and education sectors, including the ISTC programme and the NHS National Programme for IT
- Jean-Luc is also a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and was a treasury practitioner for the international media group Emap plc
Simon Mellor
Medical Director
- Joined us in 2007 after a full career in the Defence Medical Services as a consultant general surgeon, ultimately becoming Defence Medical Services Consultant Advisor in Surgery to the Surgeon General
- His responsibilities include clinical and information governance and health and safety and Simon is our Caldicott Guardian
- Other career highlights include being clinical director of surgery at Royal Hospital Haslar and Simon was the military representative on the Executive Board of Frimley Park Hospital where he had his surgical practice from 1999 to 2007
Simone Hemingway
Human Resources Director
- With 10 years in senior HR roles, Simone was previously the HR Director of the Integrated Transport Division of Serco Group plc, responsible for all HR activities covering over 8,400 employees.
- Other career highlights include being Head of HR in Information Technology and Business Processing at Barclays Bank and before that, Vice President HR for Marconi Services
- Simone has a broad range of skills developed not only in the UK but overseas; fluent in German, she has extensive knowledge of HR strategy and change management, in particular in the areas of organisational development and design, major integrations and restructurings
- She has a first class honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Buckingham and an MSc in Organisation Behaviour and Work Psychology from Birkbeck College, University of London
